My name is Mike Monahan and I'm a retired NYPD homicide detective and currently a scuba dive master and published author. I was born and raised in the Bronx and put twenty years in the NYPD all working in the South Bronx. I have been fortunate to scuba dive around the globe and now writing has become my passion. My book, Barracuda, is my first novel. Barracuda will be enjoyed by readers who appreciate the aquatic action of Jaws, the mob intrigue of The Godfather, and the procedural sense of The Onion Field. I live in Westchester County, New York.
