Bag Lady
But Bag Lady is ultimately the story of one woman, Faith Donnovan. At thirty years of age, Faith finds herself at her grandmother's funeral with a new man on her arm, Justin, an exotically eligible Central American, who might just be the one to finally make her happy. Faith's sister Nicole's jealousy is immediately apparent to all present, forcing Faith to remind her of all her past misfortune. With this twist of sibling rivalry, the novel unfolds into a gripping account of Faith's past, beginning with her troubled childhood in the home of an alcoholic and abusive step-father. Eventually Faith leaves home and begins another series of misfortune and missed opportunities that will weigh her down in a mire of emotional baggage.
After two disastrous marriages,
abuse and an unrelenting stream of
personal dysfunction, she meets and
marries Justin Herrera. Will the
third time be the charm? Will
Justin's love and the budding love
for herself give her enough strength
to leave her baggage behind? |
