Markos Moschos was born in Port-Said of Egypt of Greek parents. After graduating high school, he joined the merchant marine as deck cadet. He attended nautical colleges in England and Israel and rose through the ranks to become a Master Mariner. Captain Moschos presently lives in Long Island, New York.
